Young London Sexual Health Showcase
Find out about exciting initiatives taking place across the capital to promote the sexual health of young people
The Young London Sexual Health Showcase will highlight some of the new and innovative initiatives taking place across London to improve the sexual health of young Londoners. Young people will have a lead role to play in the event and they will be supported by stakeholders working in health and youth issues from the statutory sector, voluntary and community sector, and the media.
The event will provide a platform to:
- Mark the official launch of London’s Integrated Condom Distribution Card Scheme for young people. The new Condom Card uses contactless smart-card technologies (similar to London Transport’s Oyster Card) and it is accepted across local authority boundaries.
- Find out about initiatives aimed at youth engagement by organisations such as Living Well will be featured including txtm8, which provides free sexual health information by text message, and Rite Start, a peer education initiative.
- www.WeKnowBest.co.uk will be showing how it is providing London’s FE students with the chance to develop ideas, share their views and vote on issues affecting young people in London.
The event is free but tickets must be booked, as it is an event for both young people and professionals. We are keen for a wide variety of stakeholders to get involved and have separate ticket allocations for professionals and young people. There are currently 61 tickets available for young people, so if you are interested reserve your ticket now! Book ticket
